Lizelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of North Texas and continued her education at Dallas Baptist University where she received her Master’s in Counseling. She has worked with Denton County and Collin County for a combined seven years where she gained experience in mental health and crisis intervention working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in an office or hospital psychiatric evaluation setting.
Lizelle has a deep calling to help others through life’s struggles. As a counselor, her goal is to provide hope and self-empowerment to those who need the right tools to live a more fulfilling life. Lizelle takes an eclectic approach to counseling by combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Person-Centered techniques to meet her client’s needs. She is a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I (CAMS-I) and is a certified Prepare & Enrich Facilitator. Lizelle specializes in, but not limited to depression, bipolar disorders, bullying, coping skills, self-harming behaviors, sexual abuse, stress, anger, grief, suicidal ideations, codependency, trauma and premarital/marital counseling.
In her spare time she is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Lizelle likes to cook, read, watch movies, and travel.
