"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free; the old is gone
and new has come." (Galatians 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
My name is Kristine Price and I consider it an honor and a privilege to
serve as a biblical counselor. I received my undergraduate degree in Accounting
with a minor in Spanish from Howard Payne University. After working as
an accountant for the last 13+ years, I heard the Lord calling me to counsel.
My previous experience in counseling includes group counseling at Nexus
Recovery Center in Dallas where women struggle with addictions. Additionally,
I have personal and professional experience counseling individuals who
struggle with substance abuse and other addictions.
I firmly believe that the redemptive work of Christ can transform lives.
As a counselor, my goal and purpose is to assist others suffering from
emotional bondage. I aspire to build confidence in those who need the
right tools in order to live a life of emotional freedom in a troubled
world.
My areas of interest and experience are depression, anxiety, breaking
unhealthy patterns & strongholds, healing emotional wounds, women’s
issues, and relational problems. My specialties include substance abuse/addictions
and sexual abuse recovery.
I counsel adolescents and adults. I am under the supervision of the director
of Metroplex Counseling, Steve Clay, LPC-S. I am an active member and

Anne
M. Wallace, M.Ed., M.A., Art Therapist,
Certified Special Education Teacher, LPC Intern
I have been married for almost 17 years, and am a proud mother of a cherished
12-yr-old daughter. I and my family are active members of our local church,
where we are involved in missions work, choir, orchestra, youth, and children's
ministries. God has created me to be a "divinely ordained cheerleader,"
or encourager, to both children and adults. I live to help clients discover
how unique and valued they are in God's eyes, and will urge, encourage,
and even provoke them to find His best for them! My greatest resource
in counseling is the Bible and a uniquely Christian counseling perspective.
I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Art and a B.A. in
English, believing the Lord wanted me to write and illustrate books for
children. The Lord, however, had other plans for my life. He began to
prepare me for a career as an Art Therapist and Counselor. Utilizing my
interest in Creative Arts, God led me to obtain a Master's degree in Education
from Rutgers with a specialization in that field. I worked in New Jersey
for a Christian book publisher, where I came to know an author who was
Vice President of a small Bible college in Texas. I soon found God calling
me to move to Texas, where I attended Bible college and received great
vocal training as a singer. I met my husband, Ron, through Plano I.S.D.,
where we both worked with children in the early 1990's. I thought I was
to be a teacher, but God continued to woo me in His plan for my life by
bringing me into situations where I could help children with special needs.
I obtained a Master's degree in Counseling from Amber University in Garland,
TX, and taught school as a Certified Special Education Teacher until 2006.
I completed a program as a Professional Art Therapist at Art Therapy Institute
in Dallas in 2008. I currently work as an Art Therapist and Licensed Professional
Counselor Intern, utilizing my love of children to help them find their
God-given strengths to achieve success.

Nelly
Yuen M.A., LPC Intern
Nelly was born and raised in Hong Kong, and when she was a young teen
her family moved to Virginia. During her time in college at James Madison
University in Virginia, Nelly accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and
served her college community by being part of the school's Peer Advising
team and Agape Christian Fellowship. After graduation, Nelly served as
staff at Immanuel Christian Fellowship at George Mason University and
worked in Healthcare. Nelly received a degree in Counseling from Dallas
Theological Seminary where she met her husband Brian.
Nelly has years of experience working with adolescents and college age
young adults in both church and counseling contexts. She also has experience
working with families and understands that working with children and youth
also involves communicating with parents. Although Nelly utilizes techniques
from different counseling approaches to fit each client's unique needs,
her main theoretical approach is cognitive behavioral therapy. Part of
this type of therapy includes working with clients to identify and change
unhealthy thought patterns that lead to unhealthy behavior so that the
client's quality of life can be improved. In addition, Nelly works with
clients from different cultures with the understanding that culture has
a role in counseling because different cultures have different social
norms, expectations, parenting, and ideals.
